by Christopher Albon on October 12, 2008

tklogo_en.gifStatistics Finland is one of the oldest government institutions in the country. Created in 1865, the organization collects and disseminates a wide range of quantitative data about Finland. While not technically focused on conflict, Statistics Finland offers an easy english language interface to access national data, some of it dating back to the 1700s, including data during the Finnish War, the Finnish Civil War, the Winter War, World War Two, and the Cold War.

Christopher Albon is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in armed conflict, public health, human security, and health diplomacy.
